Camera seems unresponsive or dead
Is there's a red LED on the receiver box (the LEDs on the camera are infra-red so cannot be seen by the human eye), and if the camera gets warm after it's been plugged in for a while you can be sure both power supplies are working.
Check that both the camera and the receiver are set to the same channel. If the camera still seems dead, please contact our support team and let them know what you've tried so far.
Doesn't connect to WiFi
The wireless camera kit (NC701G) cannot connect to WiFi, it is analogue and so it can only connect to a TV or to a PC (if you use a USB adapter).
If you are keen to be able to view the camera feed online and share it with people, you have two options. You can use a USB capture device and this guide to set the camera up for live streaming via YouTube, or you can return the camera and swap it for one of our WiFi or wired cameras that can connect to an internet router. These cameras can be viewed on a computer or mobile phone without the need for additional equipment.
If you have any questions about setting up the live stream contact us, or if you would like to exchange the kit for a camera that can connect to an internet router, just give our sales team a ring on 0117 325 8128 and quote your original order number/invoice and they will be able to arrange an exchange for you.
Lights don't turn on
The LEDs on this camera are infra-red, so the light they emit isn't visible to the human eye. They will automatically activate once the light levels drop enough (this is why the camera goes black and white), and you'll be able to see the infra-red light they emit when viewing the camera feed on your TV.
Cannot connect to TV
If your TV does not have yellow and white connectors, you can buy an RCA to HDMI Video Adaptor from us which will connect the camera to your TV in one go.
Interfering with TV
When the receiver is positioned close to an indoor TV antenna, it can cause interference with the TV signal. The receiver should be kept as far away as possible from the antenna to minimise this issue.
