Live stream your Analogue Bird Box Camera to YouTubeUpdated a month ago

This guide shows you how to live stream the feed from your Analogue Bird Box Camera straight to YouTube, or to any other programme or website, but we will use YouTube as our example.

If you have a WiFi or wired IP camera that connects to a phone or computer via the internet, then you need to follow this guide instead.

Please be aware that OBS Studio can only stream one camera at a time. You'll need a second computer with OBS also installed on it to stream multiple cameras. If you want to use multiple cameras in the same live stream, switch between them, use backgrounds or overlay a logo onto your live stream, watch this video after following this guide.

Before You Begin

Make sure that your bird box camera is powered on and has been connected to your computer using a USB capture device

You'll also need to install OBS Studio, make a YouTube account, and follow the instructions on this page to verify your account. This can take up to 24 hours.

Let's Get Started

Now you need to open up OBS Studio and click on 'Video Capture Device'.

Click on 'Create new', and set a name for the camera feed if you want.

In the following window, you will see the camera feed appear. If not, change the device selected underneath, it will usually have a name beginning with 'USB' but it depends on the specific model. Once it's working click 'OK'. If it doesn't detect the USB adapter device, you may need to install the drivers again.

Now go to YouTube, and click on 'Go live'.

Give your stream a name and category then click 'Create Stream'.

A new window will pop up if it's your first time. Click on the copy button next to 'Stream key' to copy it, then open up OBS Studio again.

In OBS Studio go to File > Settings > Stream.

Select 'YouTube / YouTube Gaming' as the service and paste the stream key into the 'Stream Key' field.

Click 'OK', then select 'Start Streaming' on the bottom right of the screen.

Now if you go back to YouTube, the live stream should be working.
