Getting Started With Your Green Feathers Bird FeederUpdated a month ago
Whats needed
Feeder
- Green Feathers camera compatible bird feeder.
- 4 x mounting screws.
- 1 x mounting plate.
- Drill or electric screwdriver.
Camera
- Camera with 1/4" mounting point.
- 1/4" bolt which we supply with our cameras.
- Adjustable bracket for our solar camera.
Mounting your Camera to the Feeder
Open the lid on the feeder and pull out the wooden board, we've included a small hole to help get a grip when pulling this out.
If using one of our battery powered solar cameras you will want to attach the adjustable bracket to the camera. This simply screws onto the camera, we recommend using the mounting point on the bottom of the camera by the charging point.
Now attach the type c charging lead to the camera so this can be connected to the solar panel for charging and feed the cable through the hole on the back.
You can then feed a 1/4" bolt through the wooden board into the bracket for the camera.
With the supplied alan key you can adjust the angle of the bracket by loostening the points on the side and then tightening once adjusted.
Re-insert the wooden board into the rear of the two slots as this puts the camera in the best position.
We recommend slotting this board in and out a few times till you have the desired view. we designed this to give you a downwards view of the feeder so you can see birds landing on it.
Other Green Feathers Camera
Open the lid on the feeder and pull out the wooden board, we've included a small hole to help get a grip when pulling this out.
Insert the bolt through the pre-drilled hole into our provided none slip bracket.
You can loosen the screws on the side of the camera bracket to adjust the camera to get the desired view.
Feed the cables through the whole provided, if you are using a wired IP camera you will want to run the cable over the top.
Re-insert the wooden board into the front of the 2 slots as this will help bring the camera forward for a better view. The cable can run out the whole to the side so you can run it to a power source.
As some of our other cameras aren't waterproof you can find some of the wooden sides can be in view however you still get full view of the feeder. This is to help keep the camera covered from the rain.
Mounting your Feeder
We have tried to make the feeder mounting as easy as possible.
You will see on the rear of the feeder there is a small hook which you have also been supplied another one of these.
These two hooks interlock with each other as shown in the image.
Take the hook and 4 screws supplied and mount it to the wall/fence or tree which you want to mount the feeder to. We have included a handy photo to show which way round this will be.
Now the hook is mounted you can take the feeder and slot the hook which is pre-installed onto the hook which you have just mounted.
If you would like extra security you can take a screw and use the whole at the bottom of the piece of wood coming out the back of the feeder. This will provide extra stability and make sure the feeder doesn't move.
